Reliance Communications likely to open seven new data centers
Reliance Communications will become one of the top three third party data center providers in the world if it implements a plan to set up seven international data centers in India with an investment of around INR8 billion to INR10 billion, according to the Business Standard
Of the seven data centers, two are likely to come up at the Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge Centre in Mumbai and one at Whitefield, Bangalore. The others are likely to come up in Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai.
Reliance currently has six data centers. It expects to cater to 2,500 corporate customers and earn about INR12 billion within the first year of setting up the new data centers.
